Ubajay is native to Argentina where the fruits are sold in local markets but has not made it into mas distribution and thus is virtually unknown in the states. My trees are still young so I have not had the opertunity to try the fruits myself. However I understand them to be bitter sweet with a high pectin content. Fruits can be eaten out of hand but are ideal for making preserves.
