Maypops are the only variety of Passiflora we have found that does well in regions cooler than Zone 8. The vibrant purple flowers are beautiful and the fruits plentiful. The fruit is sweet and can be eaten out of hand or made into juice or jelly. It’s also a host plant for the gulf fritillary butterfly making it a great addition to butterfly gardens as well.
