The name of this tree is a bit misleading the best comparison would be likend to an African Apricot with the undertones of the tropics adding flavors of mango and aramatics of star fruit to the mix. The size and texture are very simmilar to an apricot however these are sour. Makes a great addition to beverages, jams, and desserts. This evergreen tree or shrub makes a fantastic living fence or hedge. Trees do have thorns similar to citrus protecting its unique fruits from larger wildlife. Male and female plants are needed to produce fruits.
