Torrey pine is a California native and is critically endangered. This medium sized pine tree has some unique features. The Pine nuts produced from this tree are one of the largest and considered to have a superb flavor. The pine tree is generally shorter and more twisted in its native habitat due to the high winds. The needles are long approx. 12" in length and the pinecones are generally egg shaped approx. 4-6."
