This evergreen tree is extremely branched and wants desperately to be a bush. Makes an excellent privacy screen and produces delicious fruit who could ask for more. The fruit is melon or pear like consistency with a sweet slightly musky flavor. This is a very heavy producer and my kids do there best to eat as much as they can but inevitably we end up canning many of them in a light syrup as a tasty snack.
