This cold tolerant custard apple can tolerate mild freezes but should be protected while young. Although very cold hardy for the genus we generally recommend protecting it from freezes to reduce damage and increase fruit production. The fruit is avocado sized with a "Custard" like texture and flavors of the tropics. Typically eaten with a spoon out of hand this fruit is often turned into a wide range of desserts and sweet treats. Multiple plants are needed for polinization.
